This CAD model depicts Tom Buchanan's house, and tries to accurately transform what Fitzgerald described in his book to a more modern medium. CAD is a software used to model engineering creations as well as some architectural designs, so we felt it appropriate to employ Autodesk Inventor, the software, in our project. We tried to incorporate some of the key aspects of what Fitzgerald called Georgian Colonial architecture, which were mainly well-emphasized windows, front pilars, and we tried to bring in a little color symbolism as well. Ultimately we felt that by modeling the Buchanan house, we felt that we could better visualize the scenery of the time, and we could better put ourselves in Fitzgerald's novel.
